The ‘Pleck’ self catering holiday cottage is nestled on the Herefordshire slopes of the Malvern Hills, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Situated on our organic nursery in the lovely village of Colwall this is an idyllic place to stay.
The cottage is situated in a peaceful location with its own private parking and Wild flower meadow.With your own private meadow and arboretum on the door step you can chill out on the patio or stroll along the pathways surrounded by trees, wildflowers, birds, butterflies and bees, and wonderful veiws of the Malvern hills.
Eco-Friendly The Pleck was constructed in 2007. We have used reclaimed, recycled and eco-friendly building materials where possible to create a spacious and homely living space, with all modern conveniences.
Saucy salads From Spring to Autumn we provide you with a free salad garden of your own to pick at during your stay. You can also forage in the meadow for plums, Apples and strawberries, and pick herbs from your own garden.
Fantastic walks with endless beautiful walkson the doorstep you can leave the car behind and explore the Hills. The local footpaths are well signed and we have a map in The Pleck for you to borrow. If you like short walks punctuated with cafes and pubs there are lots to choose from!
Slow food Barbecue barbecue on the patio with locally made charcoal, local organic meat from our shop next door and fresh salad from the garden, its sensational!!
Our farm shop sells organic, home grown and local produce.
Recycling There are on site recycling facilities, as well as a wormery for compostable waste. We use eco friendly laundry liquid and other products in the running of the holiday cottage.
Wildlife watching we are in a special area for birds,with lots of uncultivated pastureland and hedgerows we have an abundance of bird life. Last year we had babyBarn owls learning to hunt in the pleck meadow! Look at our wildlife sightings list …….
Local facilities We are situated in a peaceful location, with the advantage of having all the wonderful facilities in Colwall within a few minutes walking distance. (five pubs, two cafes, general stores, post office, library, village hall entertainments, fishing pools, horse riding.) You can also collect your own Malvern water fresh from the spring at the top of our lane!

Getting Around Malvern and Ledbury are both only a short car drive.There are also regular bus services from Colwall Green to Ledbury and Malvern. There is a train station in the village (only 15mins. walk)with direct regular services to Wales, Birmingham and London. If you are comming by train we can pick you and your luggage up from Colwall station.
Come and share this little haven with us. The Pleck is ideal for individuals, families and groups, well behaved dogs are also welcome.
Camping If you are staying in The Pleck there are spaces in the meadow for camping, so if the kids want to camp and sit around a camp fire, or you want to meet up with friends we charge £10 per.night per tent. Campers will use The Pleck facilities.
